Request Files: an overview
Aldoo Transfer works in both directions. You can send files to someone, but you can also ask someone to send files to you. The second one is called a Request Files link.
You create the link in your account, share it with the people you want files from, and their uploads land straight in your account.
When to use Request Files
- Collecting deliverables from clients, contractors or contributors.
- Asking for raw assets without giving someone access to your storage.
- Customer support intake — let users send you the files they have trouble with.
- Receiving work samples from candidates into a single inbox.
How it works
- You create a Request Files link with a title, an optional message, an upload page theme, and (optionally) a list of allowed emails.
- Every upload that arrives through the link shows up in your account as a new transfer.
- Received files follow the same retention and storage rules as the rest of your transfers, and you manage them in the same place.
The other articles in this section cover creating a link, what your senders will see, and how to manage the files you receive.
