Customizing Your Share Page: Themes, Colors, and Branding
Aldoo Transfer lets you decide what recipients see when they open a share. Beyond the file list, the share page itself can wear your brand: a background image, your colors, and on the Pro plan, your name on the page instead of ours.
What you can customize
- Background image — upload your own image (jpg, png, webp, svg) up to 5MB.
- Background color — used as the page color, and as the fallback if no image is set.
- Text color — applied to titles, file names, and most of the on-page copy.
- Primary color — drives the Download and main action buttons.
- Button text color — sets the label color inside primary buttons so it stays readable against your primary.
How themes apply to a share
Each share's Theme tab in the file options dialog has three modes:
- Account Default — the share follows your current account default theme. If you change the default later, every share on this mode updates automatically.
- A specific theme — a snapshot of the chosen theme is stamped onto the share. Edits to the theme later still propagate live; deleting the theme falls back to the snapshot.
- System Default — Aldoo Transfer's built-in look, with no custom colors.
Expired shares are read-only — once a share has expired, its theme can no longer be changed.
Managing your themes
Open Account → Themes to create, edit, or delete your themes. Set one as the Account Default and it becomes the live theme for every share on "Account Default" mode. Removing the image from a theme is fine — the page will simply use the background color instead. Deleting a theme also removes its uploaded background from storage.
Plan differences
- Free & Starter — share pages use the Aldoo Transfer System Default. Custom themes are not available.
- Pro — create and save up to 100 custom themes, set per-share or as your account default, and remove Aldoo Transfer branding from the recipient page (no "Create free account" panel shown to recipients).
Tips
- If your background image is busy, pick a primary color with strong contrast against the button text color so calls to action stay obvious.
- Setting an Account Default lets you re-skin every existing share in one place, instead of editing them one by one.
- For a single different-looking share, use "A specific theme" — it won't follow later changes to the account default.
